Interim Marketing Director

Job Type: Interim Unpaid (Future Paid Role) | Department: Marketing | Location: Remote, Missouri

About the Role:

VBA (Venture Beyond Aspirations) is seeking a creative and strategic Interim Marketing Director to lead and execute marketing efforts across multiple initiatives, including our core brand, VBA Connect, and VBA Creatives. This is a remote role with preference given to Missouri-based candidates due to our regional event structure.

As the Marketing Director, you’ll be responsible for shaping and sharing the VBA story—both online and in-person. You will oversee a variety of marketing activities that support both the company and our Member Consultants, who host monthly social outings and community-based events across Missouri.


This is an interim unpaid position with a clear path toward becoming a paid leadership role as funding allows.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage content for VBA’s social media channels

  • Design graphics using Canva that align with brand standards and campaign goals

  • Create and schedule email marketing campaigns that promote events and initiatives

  • Update and monitor the VBA website for accuracy, announcements, and promotions

  • Plan and support marketing for Member Consultant events, including in-person monthly socials

  • Collaborate on marketing strategy and promotion for VBA Connect and VBA Creatives programs

  • Support branding, outreach, and community engagement through digital and in-person presence


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, or brand development

  • Strong design skills using Canva or similar tools for creating visual content

  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and marketing automation tools

  • Experience with website management and updates (preferably Wix or similar platforms)

  • Ability to plan and execute both online and in-person marketing events

  • Comfortable supporting marketing for multiple programs: VBA Connect, VBA Creatives, and Member Consultant events

  • Available to contribute 6–10 hours per week

  • Willing to serve in an unpaid capacity until funding allows for compensation

  • Location: Preference for candidates based in Missouri, but open to exceptional out-of-state applicants
